![]() Snowy Zigloo 1: As the Snow Flies When a moist front meets a cold air trough from the arctic, the result is snow. This is very rare in Victoria BC (the tropics of Canada) and a snow storm that drops 16" of snow in 24 hours can close the city down for days. Luckily we moved in the day before and had plenty of organizing to do for the next 3 days. top ![]() Snowy Zigloo 2: Technology that is Up to the Task The steel roof does a very good job of shedding the snow. The in-floor heating system keeps the house at a very comfortable temperature and the tankless hot water heater provides all the hot water we need for showers and dish cleaning. top ![]() Snowy Zigloo 3: God is in the Details * The energy efficient windows and extensive waterproofing and flashing keep the structure dry and environmentally sealed.
