 Zigloo Domestique - Completed Exterior 1 The view of zigloo domestique form the southwest shows how the metal roof detail extends down over the curved fascias, soffits and weatherproofs the connection between the roof and upper floor containers. top  Zigloo Domestique - Completed Exterior 2 Container architecture is a young concept and open to aesthetic interpretation. The slightly crumpled effect of sheet metal is called "oil-canning". It is deemed undesirable in most applications, but I (and other designers) are of the opinion that it provides an organic, natural effect to an otherwise cold, industrial material. top  Zigloo Domestique - Completed Exterior 3 The balcony railings are a tight chain link fence complying with the local building code requirements for a non-climbable 42 inch high guard rail. top  Zigloo Domestique - Completed Exterior 4 The steel flashing, exterior lighting and concrete balconies are ready for warm weather enjoyment ... now we just have to patiently await the warm summer nights. top  Zigloo Domestique - Completed Exterior 5 Another exterior feature is the wide entry stair that is recycled from an industrial building on the island. This view also shows the kitchen and studio balconies and the way they are tied back to the front of the building with diagonal steel struts.
