![]() Interior Living/Dining-1: Open Floor Plan The main floor is an open concept with an accent on the finishes and smooth transition between spaces. top ![]() Interior Living/Dining-2: Living Room The living room features a fireplace and full height windows with a view to the north. top ![]() Interior Living/Dining-3: Finishes The entire main floor is a heated concrete surface. The living room ceiling features low voltage lighting in a Douglas Fir wooden panel. top ![]() Interior Living/Dining-4: Seating Arrangements One of the advantages of the open floor plan is that the comfortable seating arrangement can be easily altered to accommodate a variety seating scenarios. top ![]() Interior Living/Dining-5: Eating Area The middle of the main floor is mostly circulating space that is easily shared with the eating area. top ![]() Interior Lower Kitchen-1: Bar Counter The eating bar shelters the main work area of the kitchen. The plywood counter top is temporary while the composite stone work surface is being completed. top ![]() Interior Lower Kitchen-2: Lower Kitchen Concept The kitchen is unique to most others, because it has no upper cabinets. The dishwasher (left) and fridge (right) are both below counter drawer units. top ![]() Interior Lower Kitchen-3: Finishes All the lower cabinets are drawers finished in Bamboo plywood. top ![]() Interior Lower Kitchen-4: Gallery One of the main features of this kitchen (without upper cabinets) is that it doubles as an art gallery. top ![]() Interior Lower Kitchen-5: Cubbies A wall of cubbie holes provides open shelving for the necessities of a kitchen. The cubbies are also made of Bamboo. top ![]() Interior Lower Kitchen-6: Cubbies Wall The cubbie wall is adjacent to the stairwell taking us upstairs and downstairs. top ![]() Interior Stairs Down-1: Chain Link The stairwell features a chain-link fence which meets the building code requirements and provides the open feeling the main floor needs. top ![]() Interior Stairs Down-2: Finishes The stairs are finished in Bamboo treads, engineered strand stringers and open risers. top ![]() Interior Stairs Down-3: Bathroom At the bottom of the stairs is a bathroom with a tub/shower unit, dual flush toilet, glass sink bowl and heated floor. top ![]() Interior Stairs Down-4: Bedroom The lower floor is dominated by our daughter's bedroom. Heated floors and a colorful paint palette make this basement room a cozy and fun environment. top ![]() Interior Stairs Up-1: Bathroom The main bathroom is on the upper floor and feature a high ceiling, tiled wall finish, and heated floor. top ![]() Interior Stairs Up-2: Shower The full sized shower stall will soon have a glass wall separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom. top ![]() Interior Stairs Up-3: Cheater A cheater door provides easy access the Master Bedroom on this floor. top ![]() Interior Stairs Up-4: Bath In the Master Bedroom (adjacent to the main bathroom) is an antique claw-foot tub. The entire upper floor is a vaulted curved ceiling. top ![]() Interior Stairs Up-5: Finishes The Master Bedroom is a spacious room featuring Bamboo flooring, a warm color palette, and north/east views. top ![]() Interior Stairs Up-6: Fireplace The temperature throughout the house is regulated by heated lower and main floors, but for that extra bit of comfort, a fireplace in the Master Bedroom will take the edge off when necessary. top |
